Len has nearly 30 years’ experience in the disability sector following an extensive career in Local Government. He held the position of CEO for the Isis Shire Council; has held numerous voluntary positions in the community; held senior managerial positions in direct services to people with disabilities and was State Manager of the Qld division of National Disability Services.
He has successfully worked across all facets of the Queensland not-for-profit sector.
Len currently consults to the Disability Sector. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Management – QUT; Certificate in Business Management Practices – AIM; ISO Lead Auditor qualifications; and is a Certificated Local Government Clerk.
Peter has 40 years’ experience in delivering innovative, community-based organisations in Regional Queensland across sectors including housing, youth, employment, training, disability and aged care. Peter founded Community Employment Options Inc and, after a merge, co-founded the new Community Solutions Inc. In the merged Group, Peter was Group Executive Manager, Employment and Training, until his retirement in July 2011.
Currently, Peter is a Partner in the firm and as part of the consulting team assists 100’s of not-for-profit, community services businesses to develop capacity in order to thrive in the emerging environment
Peter also is a Director Chair of Integrated Living Australia Ltd – an aged care services provider operating across Australia: Chair of Excelcare providing disability and mental health services in regional Queensland and Chair of the Riverina Community College – a community College based out of Wagga Wagga, NSW
He holds an Advanced Diploma Community Services (Disability) and a Diploma of Business (Front Line Management) is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Alisa has worked as a communications, marketing specialist and writer for more than 20 years. Her experience in communications, community engagement, marketing and PR for a range of government and private organisations has given her an in-depth understanding of target audiences from both a community and commercial perspective.
Her special interest includes freelance journalism, online and social media marketing, copy writing and editing, submission management and photography.
Throughout her career, Alisa has been involved in developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies for the disability, not-for-profit, construction, environmental, retail, IT, agricultural, professional services and community sectors.
Alisa has an ability to create marketing strategies with impact and write engaging content for audiences.
Alisa’s first love is writing about people and community. She is interested in hearing people’s stories and helping them tell those stories to a specific audience. She is a great communicator and has a knack for being able to empathise with people from all walks of life.
Peter is an experienced senior consultant and advisor who has worked in a variety of roles including one as a change management specialist for a major ASX listed group. He has provided consulting and management services to a range of service providers. He has worked with a national recruitment and advisory firm. He has held CEO and GM roles and has owned and operated a number of businesses.
Peter is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a degree in Economics and Commerce.
In 1997, after establishing a high volume manufacturing business in Toowoomba. Michael entered the disability employment industry and become engaged with the non-profit sector. With a unique combination of trade, management and academic skills, Michael can quickly tease apart the critical issues within a business and fashion simple solutions from the resources and knowledge at hand. With a genuine passion for developing talent his work is founded upon relationship development and skills transfer; leaving a legacy within the organisations with whom he has engaged. Michael currently works at a senior level in a diversity of roles including: donor and customer development; strategic planning; NDIS readiness; and social evaluation.
Michael currently holds a Masters of Business; Philanthropy and Non Profit Studies 2012; a Bachelor of Agricultural Science; and is a qualified Trainer and Assessor.
